Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Database Engineer to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role, with a proven track record of developing and maintaining robust database systems.
Salary: $25,000 USD per year.
Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable database management systems.
- Develop database schema and document processes.
- Work closely with developers to optimize system performance and ensure seamless integration of new project features.
- Implement measures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Perform troubleshooting and correct database issues with fast turnaround.
- Develop and manage effective data models to store and retrieve data.
- Evaluate existing database systems to identify weaknesses and develop opportunities for improvements.
- Implement backup and recovery processes.
- Liaise with data scientists and leverage database systems to optimize data retrieval and analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Database Engineer or similar role.
- Familiarity with blockchain and distributed ledger technologies.
- Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases, data backup/recovery, and performance optimization.
- Knowledge of various database systems such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and others.
- Proficient understanding of database structure principles.
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
